Nell Marie Cunningham, 81, of Sweetwater, Tx, passed away at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital. There will be a graveside service for Nell on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Decker Cemetery. Reverend Keith Clower will be officiating service. There will be a visitation on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at McCoy Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at ww.mccoyfh.com.
Nell was born December 21, 1935 in Roby ,Texas to parents Richard and Elsie McCutchan. She graduated from Sand Springs High School. Nell married William Pete Cunningham on February 22, 1958 in Sand Springs. She was married to William Pete for 43 years , until his death. She moved to Sweetwater in 1958. Nell was a den mother for the Boy Scouts of America troop #147 from 1969 until 1975 at Southeast Elementary. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Nell was a Registered Nurse at Shannon Hospital. Nell also substitute teacher for 30 years. Nell also was a homemaker, she loved collecting music boxes and loved shooting guns.
Survivors are: Sons: Charlie Mac Cunningham of Amarillo, TX, William L. Cunningham and wife Suzanne of McKinney, TX, Grandsons: Randall Lee Cunningham of Sweetwater, Collin M. Cunningham of McKinney, TX. 1 Sister: Geraldine Fuqua of Big Spring, TX., 2 Brothers: Richard "Dick" McCutchan of Lubbock, TX, Calvin McCutchan of Lubbock, TX . and numerous Nieces and Nephews and Cousins.
Nell was preceded in death by: her husband Pete on November 25, 2000.
Pallbearers will be Matt Garza, Ronny Bredemeyer, Glen Wortham, Dale McCright, Ed Hatfield, Darrell Wood.
