Nevada Mary O'Pry Obituary
Nevada Mary O'Pry left this world to be with Jesus, with her daughter, Lucretia, by her side, Feb. 6, 2017. Her husband, Jack O'Pry, and parents, Newt and Jewel McWilliams preceded her in death.
Nevada was born in Mena, AK, Dec. 4, 1935. She attended Sweetwater High School and was a resident for many years. She married the love of her life, Hubert Jack O'Pry on July 25, 1955 and lived in Amarillo most of their marriage.
Nevada worked in Health Care Management for many years. She was compassionate , dedicated, and thoroughly enjoyed her long term relationships with staff, doctors and patients. She had her own businesses Sunshine Home Health and Amarillo Durable Medical Equipment until retiring in 1998, and moving back to Sweetwater.
Nevada is survived by her Three children, Marlon, Lucretia, and Billy O'Pry, Eleven Grandchildren, and Twenty Four Great Grandchildren, a Great Great Grandson, Sisters, Sue Elsclager of Tucson, Jewel McMahon of Brea CA, Anna Brand of Grand Jct. Co, Brother Dan McWilliams of Las Vegas, Nv.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Lamar Street Baptist Church Recreational Building. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
She will be greatly missed for her infectious smile, servant's heart and generous nature.
