Oliver Mitchell Clowers, 66, of Sweetwater, TX, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Graveside services will be at 11 A.M. Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Dale Cook officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. A family visitation will be from 7 to 8 P.M. Thursday evening at McCoy Funeral Home. Oliver was born June 21, 1951 in Crockett, TX to Charles Edward and Linnie Nell (Roberson) Clowers. He moved to Sweetwater at the age of 4. Oliver married Lola Jenette Alexander April 6, 1992 in Roscoe, TX. He worked for and retired as a Foreman for T & R Oil Field Construction for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Oliver Clowers, Jr. He was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife; Lola Clowers of Sweetwater, a brother; Charlie Clowers of Mineral Wells, TX, 2 sisters; Kathy Cook & husband Dale of Weatherford, TX, Tamy Towns & husband Ruben of Ft. Worth, TX, 3 daughters; Shelley Nail and Jackie Dale both of Mineral Wells, TX, Sabrina Kathlene of Sweetwater, TX, 4 granddaughters; Addyson, Audicy, Kailey, Olivia, 4 grandsons; Grayson, Holton, Jackson, and Keagan. Pallbearers will be R. D. Rainey, Jesse D. McGuire, Shane Ausborn, Darron Olsozsky, Kelley Halstead, Greg Alsobrook. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Dooley, Buzz Parsons and J. D. McGuire.
