RaVona (Keisler) Glover Obituary
RaVona Keisler-Glover, 73, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in Keller, Texas.
She was born on November 2, 1942 in Rotan, Texas to Ervin and Lena (Mayhood) Keisler.
RaVona was raised in a Christian home that was loving and supportive of her. She was a fun-loving girl, who loved to sing and play the piano.
As a teen, RaVona was popular in school, and was a majorette for the Rotan Yellowhammers.
RaVona was a very loving and passionate person. She spent much of her life as a single parent raising a son, Dusty. She was a fantastic mother, and she worked as a hairdresser to make ends meet. She also worked as a bailiff for the Nolan County Sheriff's Department, and later went on to work for the State Prison System.
RaVona was a long time resident of Sweetwater (since 1963). She loved to go water-skiing, go to Mustang Football Games, listen to country music, and she loved to go dancing.
RaVona had many friends who loved her... and she loved them. She had a difficult life, but always remained positive and made the most of whatever cards she was dealt.
She is now in heaven with her parents and all of the other loved ones who passed before her. She will be missed terribly.
RaVona was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Lawayne, and her husband of 28 years, Jack Glover. She is survived by her son, Dusty Rector and his wife Linda and their two grown children, Alex and Ashley Rector of Southlake, Texas. She also leaves behind two step-sons; Loby Glover and his family of Melissa, Texas, and Chad Glover of Houston, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Don Underwood, Donnie Rannefeld, Jack Lee, Mike Miller, Jeff Stein, David Bennett.
Services will be 2 P.M. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Matt McGowen officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery (in Fisher County) directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
A family visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 401 E. Third, Sweetwater, Texas 79556.
