Ruby (Kersey) Prindle Obituary
A celebration of the life of Ruby Prindle, 91, of Sweetwater, and formerly of Lubbock will be Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Sanders Funeral Home in Lubbock, TX.. Graveside services will follow in Peaceful Gardens. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning at Sanders Funeral Home.
Ruby went to be with the Lord Friday September 8, at her residence in Sweetwater. She was born June 7, 1926 in Tipton, Oklahoma to A.T. and Lela Kersey. Ruby graduated high school at Oklahoma Lane Texas. She married Bill Ross and he preceded her in death. In 1972 she married Leon Prindle.
Ruby was a devout Christian, and loved her family. She and Leon enjoyed camping and most of all working in her rose garden. She and Leon were members of the Nifty Fifty Car Club of Lubbock, and took great pride in sharing their enthusiasm for antique vehicles.
She is preceded in death by her parents, A.T. and Lela Kersey; first husband, Bill Ross; second husband, Leon Prindle; one step-son, Odie Prindle; four brothers, Alvoy, Olan, Forrest, and Troy Kersey; and three sisters, Naomi Doak, Virginia Knowles, and Greta Thomas.
Loved ones include step-daughter Joni Coons and husband, Tommy of Sweetwater; daughter-in-law Mary Boone and husband, Larry of Lubbock; grandsons Floyd Prindle and wife, Jana of Lubbock; Dusty (DJ) Parr and fiancee, Randi Kincaid of San Angelo; granddaughters Amy Boone; Emily Atas and husband Danny all of Lubbock; 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
