Ruth Fambrough Obituary
Services for Ruth Fambrough, 86, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Sweetwater with Rev. Rudy Fambrough officiating.
A graveside service will be held the same day at 3 p.m. at Wayland Cemetery in Stevens County, Texas (near Eastland). Interment will follow at Wayland Cemetery in Stevens County, Texas under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
She died on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1928 in Gainsville, Texas. She married Tim Fambrough on Feb. 16, 1974 in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
She had lived in Sweetwater since 1974. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church and the Harmony Sunday School class. She was a volunteer worker at the Pioneer Museum and a member of the Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Sweetwater Mustang Booster Club and an avid Mustang fan. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Tim Fambrough; son, Michael Kevin Peck and wife Melanie of Missoula, MT; three daughters, Debbie Lynn Wilde and husband Tom of San Angelo, Lisa Ann Seaton and husband Barry of Wichita Falls and Terri Lynnette Jones and husband David of Waco; brother, Wayne Bass of Ponca City, OK; nine grandchildren, Aaron Wilde, Bradley Wilde, Cory Wilde, Jordan Peck and wife Brittany, Jadie Peck, Megan Walker and husband Erik, Amy Hill and husband Jeff, Allison Jones and Sam Jones; and two great-granddaughters, Madelynn and Kesslee Peck.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Kay Ferguson in December 2008; a brother, J.T. Bass; and her parents, Volley Cephus and Lovia (Jennings) Bass.
Pallbearers will be Cory Wilde, Bradley Wilde, Sam Jones, Erik Walker, Jeff Hill and David Jones.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, 401 E. Third Street, Sweetwater, Texas 79556.
