Seferino "Pancho" Ramirez, Sr. Obituary
On October 26, 2017, Seferino "Pancho" Ramirez, Sr., was called to be with our dear Lord. He was born August 26, 1944 in Runge, TX to the late Elias and Niria (Rocha) Ramirez. He married Aurora Martinez April 16, 1964 in Sweetwater. He worked 14 years in maintenance at Lone Star Cement. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He fought many obstacles and overcame all of them until the end. He enjoyed having family gatherings when possible and was a big Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan. He also loved his four-legged friends Brownie and Whistle. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Olivia Ortiz, brothers Jesus and Isidro Ramirez. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Aurora Ramirez of Sweetwater; son Seferino Ramirez, Jr. and wife Bonnie of Sweetwater; daughters Lucinda Hernandez and husband Brijido of Greensboro, North Carolina; Sandra Gallegos and husband Carlos, Sr. of Sweetwater; Gloria Longoria and husband Ray of Sweetwater; Frances Cabral and husband Octavio of Breckenridge, Texas; brother Agapito Ramirez of Abilene; sisters Josie Benavides of Irving, Texas and Sylvia Mendez of Anson, Texas; twenty three Grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 30, 2017 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. A Rosary will be 7:00 P.M. Sunday, October 29, 2017 at McCoy Chapel of Memories recited by Victor Rubio. Pallbearers will be Brijido Hernandez, Jr., Marcos Hernandez, Omar Hernandez, Orlando Hernandez, Angel Sef Ramirez, Andrew Sef Ramirez, Carlos Gallegos, Jr., Alexander Gallegos.
