Shirley Ann Jackson Faust passed away peacefully on Jan. 6, 2016. She was a beautiful person with a quiet, gentle and kind spirit born on Aug. 14, 1935 in Nolan County outside of Roscoe. Shirley was a straight A+ student and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Sweetwater. For 45 years, she practiced nursing at hospitals located in Sweetwater, Abilene, and Pasadena plus pediatric and OB/GYN office practices and assisted living/skilled nursing facilities. Shirley and her family moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1961.
Shirley had a passion for reading, time on the beach, music and photography. She loved taking her grandchildren to the beach and photographing candid pictures and beautiful sunsets.
Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church of Roscoe, South Avenue Baptist Church Pasadena and First Baptist Church of Pasadena. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her family is eternally grateful for providing a Christian foundation.
She is survived by two daughters, Tracy Faust and Teresa Anderson; son-in-law, Lonnie Anderson; and three granddaughters, Courtney Anderson, Lindsey Kingsbury and Whitney Cox.
She is preceded in death by her loving father, Buford Jackson; mother, Willie Blue Belle Brazil Jackson; sister, Melba Smith; infant sons, Gary Faust and Milton Faust; and beloved aunt, Polly Brazil.
Shirley was gracious and patient during her long journey through many years of a debilitating illness. The family would like to thank her friends and family for a lifetime of cherished memories and the caregivers at Paramount Senior Care Center of Pasadena and A-Med hospice. A private celebration of Shirley's life is planned. You may offer your condolences at www.dignitymemorial.com/pasadena-funeral-home.
