Thurman was born on April 7, 1942 to Kathryn and Edward "Edgar" Hayes in Sweetwater, TX. He was a proud Marine and felt honored to have served in the Marine Corps for 6 years. He had a strong work ethic which resulted in work being his hobby. He was truly happy while working and loved what he did. If there was a job that needed to be done you could count on him to show up and get it done. He loved his family and was thankful he could spend more time with them in recent years. He was proud of all his kids and grandkids accomplishments and achievements. He was quiet, laid back and easy going. He touched the life of every person he met and he never met a stranger. He was fortunate to work with the same group of guys for 30+ years of whom became a part of our family.
