Geneva "Jeanne" Rosser Mitcham
Geneva "Jeanne" Rosser Mitcham 75 of Van Buren passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She participated in many activities with her friends at the Cancer Support House. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, painting, shopping and spending time with family. Her grandchildren were the light of her world. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Smith and a faithful member of the Pastor's Class. She was preceded in death by her parents Arlen and Opal (Lovell) Goines; a sister Brenda Gail Horne and a brother William Earl Goines.
Funeral services will be 11AM, Monday, March 22, 2021 at Ocker Memorial Chapel under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Mitcham of the home; two daughters Sandy Dixon and spouse Michael Johnson of Rogers, and Donna Rogers and husband Robert of Van Buren; one son Charles Ronald Rosser of Van Buren; two sisters Sue Hamm and husband Moody of Fort Smith, and Wilma Morgan and husband Butch of Shady Point; one brother Gary Goines and wife Brenda of Van Buren; eight grandchildren Robert Rogers, Jennifer Hamlin, Taylor Dixon, Parker Dixon, Cody Howard, Michael Mitcham, Tammy and Angelia; three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cody Hamlin, Parker Dixon, Roger Rogers, Jr., and Cody Howard.
Family will visit with relatives and friends Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2-4PM at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Cancer Support House, 3324 South "M" Street, Fort Smith Arkansas 72901 or First Baptist Church Children's Ministries, 1400 Grand Avenue Fort Smith 72901.
