Dear McDonald family, my sympathies and prayers for you with the loss of your son, Alex. Your story was shared with me by my Tallahassee friends, Tom and Liz. I also lost a son, Greg, last January due to leukemia. There are no words to offer that can heal the heartache you are feeling. But knowing Alex is with our Lord, as is my son, hopefully will help you cope through the days ahead. One day at a time is how I cope and with God's love and strength and the love of family and friends and lots of prayers, we put one foot in front of the other. You are in the prayers of many people....many know you and many like us, don't know you but praying for you just the same. God bless you and give you His peace.

Eric had sent the notice to me and thought that I should let you know that our thoughts are with you all. One of our sons was taken way to soon, always remember all of the good times that were had.
