love you and miss you granny salena

To Granny's family - Though I worked with her daughter, Jeanette, I met "Granny" through her granddaughter, Joan, who has been my hairdresser for years. She was a spry, happy, inquisitive lady. There was a presence about her....she was what I would envision a true matriarch to be! I was always happy when our hair appointments coincided. When Joan was not going to be available for her Friday appointment, she made sure that someone else at the salon did a test run on Granny's beautiful, long silver white hair. There was never a time I saw her that she did not make me laugh! It is hard for me to imagine the changes she had seen in her 95 years on this earth.

I always enjoyed hearing stories from Joan about what had been up to, and it certainly seems she kept everyone on their toes.

I was unaware of her passing, though I knew she had been in declining health. I would have liked to have personally paid my respects to this wonderful, lively lady whose strong presence I'm sure will be missed by all of those who loved her.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I'm sure there are many memories to be shared about Granny, and those memories will keep her alive in all of your hearts.

I am so blessed to have gotten to know Sis. Edna more. She was a sport and she was also a light that shone in darkness to many people. Her life preached the sermon of all sermons. She loved the Lord and she ran her race and fought the fight. I KNOW she received her reward. I as well as my family loved her and will miss her. Prayers to all of her family are being sent up.

I remember Mrs. Cloud when I was a student at Wakulla High School. She was a kind lady who always smiled and loved to talk about the Lord and her church. I am sure she will be missed by all who knew her.

I remember Ms Edna as a little girl. We went to New Light with her. Ms Edna has surely completed her journey and will receive her reward in heaven. She is no longer suffering. She was a very Godly woman and worker for the Lord. She will be greatly missed. The Lord has truly accepted a Saint and she is rejocing in Heaven with many loved ones who have gone on before. To the family I pray strenth and the Lord is your Refuge a very present help in time of trouble. May God be with you in your time of greif and be your hope and shield when you go meet her in heaven one day. God bless. This is from the Family of Billy Strickland. (Vicky his daugher)

Granny, was a light to so many. Her love for Christ overflowed to all she encountered, And her love for Christ will continue to overflow with generations to come. Her sacrifice, dedication, unconditional love to all was a blessing. Her prayer was to see all of her daughters serving the Lord. Her prayer was to see the lost saved, and that no one would perish without knowing the love of Christ just as she did. Thank you lord for the 95 years you gave her. We will cherish her in our hearts until we see her again.
Blessings, Nicole
