Staff Sergeant Alejandro Jonathan Franquiz
Staff Sergeant Alejandro Jonathan Franquiz of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Monday morning, July 31st, 2017. Alejandro - known by his middle name, "Jonathan," by his family - was born in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital on October 21st, 1986, to Carmen and Alejandro Franquiz. The eldest of three and raised in Tallahassee, he left Leon High School to complete his GED and enlist in the United States Army at 18.
A self-motivated and determined young man, Jonathan worked hard since his first enlistment. After completing three tours and several promotions, Alejandro Jonathan built a strong career to support his wife and children. He was a strong and caring man, a loving father, husband, son, and brother. To anyone who knew him, his conviction and determination made him a trustworthy and earnest spirit whose light and brilliance will be sorely missed.
Alejandro Jonathan is survived by his wife of 10 years, Rona Franquiz, and his children: Arwen, Alena, and Andre. He is also survived by his parents and two siblings, Omi Alejandro Franquiz and Naomi Marie Franquiz.

charity of your choice.
The visitation will be from 6PM-8PM on Wednesday, August 9th, at Bevis Funeral Home (2710 North Monroe St. Tallahassee, FL 32303), with a Rosary at 7:30PM. The funeral mass will be at 10AM Thursday, August 10th at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More (900 W. Tennessee St. Tallahassee, FL 32304) with a private inurnment at Tallahassee National Cemetery.
