Carlos Roberto Salguero Carlos Roberto Salguero, 51, director of coaching for Warner Sports Promotions and former professional soccer player and coach, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006. The service will be at 2 p.m. EST Monday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, with private burial at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parish Hall of the church. A small gathering of close friends and family is planned from 6 to 9 p.m. EST tomorrow night at the Morris residence. Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193) is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to TUFC Benevolent Fund, P.O. Box 15229, Tallahassee, FL 32317-5229 for the benefit of his children and grandchildren. Carlos was born in Mendoza, Argentina. He played professionally for several clubs in Argentina before playing and coaching in the United States. He was an outstanding player, coach and human being who had the utmost passion for futbol, his family and the ability to teach players. He is survived by his former wife, Olga Quiroga of West Palm Beach; his best friend and former brother-in-law, Carlos Quiroga of Toronto; his daughter, Sabrina Salguero of Buffalo, N.Y.; his two granddaughters, Micaela and Isabela LaFace of Buffalo; his son, Carlos "Carlito" Salguero of West Palm Beach; his mother, Hermenia Salguero of Mendoza; his three brothers, Oscar Salguero, Domingo Salguero and Ramon Salguero; and his sister, Ema Salguero of Mendoza.
