Gwendolyn Joyce Washington, 54, retired Secretary to the Board of County Commissioners passed away April 11, 2014 at Shands Hospital following a short illness. A native of Qunicy, Florida, she was a member of Williams Temple Church of God In Christ where she served as Missionary, a catalyst of the Prison Ministry, Creator of the Elder Share Ministry, Sunday School and Bible Band Teacher, Coordinator of the FLIP FLOP Ministry (for families of prison inmates), and an enthusiastic participant in Outreach/Missions. Her memory will live on in the hearts of: a loving husband; Glenn Randall, Gainesville, FL, children; Kimberly Jeffery, Porche Jeffery, both of Gainesville, FL, Jermaine Jeffery, Tampa, FL, adopted son; Jerome Goggins, Gainesville, FL, mother; Edith Washington, Qunicy, FL, brother; James Washington(Naomi), Qunicy, FL, sister; Vickie Young; Gainesville, FL, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Randall will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 1:00pm, at Williams Temple Church of God In Christ, Dr. D.R. Williams, Pastor, Elder Kenyardo Feathers, officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N.W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL. Visitation , Friday 2:00-7:00pm Chestnut Memorial Chapel, and on Saturday at the Church one hour before the Service. The cortege will form at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Randall, 1314 S.E. 17th Drive, Gainesville, at 12;15pm.
