Michael Martin "Mike" McFaul Obituary
Michael "Mike" Martin McFaul

Lamont - Michael "Mike" Martin McFaul, 84, went home to be with the Lord on September 12, 2018 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital surrounded by loving family following a short illness. He was born to Michael McFaul and Anna Hudock in Metuchen, New Jersey on April 3, 1934.

He served proudly in the United States Navy on the USS Northampton and traveled around the world. After serving his country, he met his wife, Betty Ann Horne McFaul, while attending Emory Riddle University and they were blessed with 58 years of marriage together. Mike loved all things mechanical and spent his career as an expert in aircraft mechanics. He worked for Pan American Airlines for 34 years and was proud of being the first mechanic for Air Florida.

Mike was always known as a dedicated friend and very hard worker. In fact, he still worked, at the age of 84, four days a week at Tallahassee International Airport. Betty and Mike established a farm in Monticello, Florida after moving from Miami 24 years ago. He was a compassionate man and always had a deep love for animals and animals loved him. He greatly enjoyed his many years on the farm with Betty.

Family was the center of his life and he is survived by his wife, Betty, daughter Michelle, son-in-law Tyler, and grandchildren Shelby, Amy and Timothy.

Burial with military honors with family and friends will be held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, 446 Hatchett Rd, Lamont on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by Beggs Funeral Home, Monticello Chapel 850-997-5612.
