Price William Thornal

Price William Thornal, age 19, died March 29, 2013. He was a freshman in the Trent Lott School of Public Policy at the University of Mississippi. Price was a third generation graduate of Leon High School where he played on the Lacrosse team. He was also an active member in the Leon High School Student Government Association, where he first developed his interest in political science. He received the Hugh O'Brien and Linda Teague Leadership Awards while at Leon. He was an Eagle Scout, Troop 109 Suwannee River Area Council. At Ole Miss, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Mississippi Gamma Chapter.

Price was a committed Christian, actively involved in church mission ministries and Young Life since age 14. He was full of love, life and the Lord's grace and had a passion for those who struggled with their faith. Price never met a stranger, was wise beyond his years and lived his life as an example for others to follow. An entrepreneur, Price founded a lawn maintenance business, Price Cuts in 2010. Price loved with all his heart St. Teresa Beach where he enjoyed spending time boating and fishing with his friends and family. Price will be sorely missed by everyone whose heart he touched.

Price is survived by his parents, Molly and Mike Thornal, a sister, Merritt Newell (Mike), and a brother, Warren Thornal, his paternal grandparents, Joyce and Leak Thornal and maternal grandparents, Mary and Bob Camp, aunts and uncles, Lana Beckley (Steve), Kris Cowart (Dan), Wes Thornal (Candy), Cal Camp, Richard Camp (Irma), Sue Portwood (Matt) and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wilson Thornal.

A memorial service and celebration of Price's life will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at Bradfordville First Baptist Church on Thomasville Road. The family will receive friends following the service at 2000 Dogwood Hill. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Young Life Tallahassee, P.O. Box 3743, Tallahassee, Florida, 32315 and the Manna Program, Bradfordville First Baptist Church, 6494 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, Florida, 32312.
