I was thinking about Ruth this morning and planning on going by to visit her at Westminster when I found that I was a little late. She was a wonderful teacher and mentor. One of her paintings is hanging over my bed so I think of her often.

I enjoyed Ms. Deshaies Art History class at TCC. She had a masterful understanding of Art and she communicated it well to her students. I was particularly pleased with her interest in and knowledge of paintings and sculpture in my hometown, Savannah, GA. I will remember her at Mass and in my daily prayers.

My love goes out to you Mignon and your girls. Your mom was one of a kind and a delight to be around. We had some great times together. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
