Stephen Bryant Skipper

Tallahassee - Stephen "Steve" Bryant Skipper, age 70, entered into rest on March 30, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Steve was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee, graduating from Leon High School & attendee of Livingston University and the University of Florida. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.

Recognized by many for his athletic talent & dedication to the games of football and baseball. Steve had built a reputation of being a tough yet generous businessman and individual. He overcame more than one battle with colon cancer which revealed his strength and fortitude for life. He touched many lives with his unselfishness and eagerness to help. He had a successful building career in and around the Big Bend area and retired as owner and operator of T.S. Builders, Inc. Steve was extremely hard working and masterful in his craft. Besides being dedicated to his career & family, Steve had a passion for hunting, fishing & all things outdoors.

He is survived by his devoted & loving wife, Micky Stapp Skipper. Survivors include his sons Bryant Skipper and wife Sarah; Carter Skipper; Brian Searcy and wife Katie; daughters Sarah Skipper and Amy Searcy; grandchildren Bennett Skipper, Marlene Skipper, Wyatt Skipper; Henry Searcy, Harrison Searcy; Colby Kinsey, Brittany Kinsey; as well as brother David Skipper and wife Claire. Steve was preceded in death by his parents David and Lavine Skipper.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 6th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Bevis Funeral Home located at 200 John Knox Road in Tallahassee.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests a donation to be made in Steve's honor to Leon High Foundation.

Steve I still can't believe your gone. You were the strongest person I've ever known. I can't thank you enough for all you did for me and my kids especially Carter the love you had for him was truly a blessing and you taught him how to be a man and I pray he remembers everything you taught him and turns out to be like you. RIP until we meet again. I love you
