Annie Lee Thomas

Annie Lee Thomas, 91, passed away on July 16, 2014 at Big Bend Hospice where she was being cared for.

She passed peacefully into the loving hands of her Lord and Savior with her family by her side.

A native of Leon County and long time resident of Woodville, Annie Lee married Bert Mae Thomas, Jr. and was married 49 years. Annie Lee and Bert established Bert Thomas Grocery Store in 1948 which is still family owned and serving the Woodville community. She lived a very active life and enjoyed gardening, shopping, traveling and was a senior model at Gayfers, and was always willing to help in any way she could. She was a member of the White Primitive Baptist Church in Woodville.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bert Thomas, Jr.; her daughters, Norma Jean Thomas Eubanks and JoAnn Thomas Causseaux; brother, Porter Holland; sisters, Margaret Harris and Ruby Howard. She is survived by her son Tommy C. Thomas (Gloria), 6 grandchildren, Tammy T. Burnsed, Terri T. Mercer (Mike), Cathy T. Smith (Randy), Jennifer B.T. Taylor (Dub), Marty Causseaux (Kelli) and William Causseaux; eleven great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18 at White Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at White Primitive Baptist Church in Woodville with burial at the Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elder Care Services, 2518 W. Tennessee St., Tallahassee, FL 32304 or Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
