My first ESE teaching position was in Quincy at the Quincy Educational Center in 1987, under Superintendent Dr. Robert Bryant and his wife and the ESE director, Ms. Ellen Bryant.
After all these years, those teaching years were some of the best in my professional life and which I remember so fondly. I was given the freedom from both of these individuals, to do what was best for our students and we gave those students I think, a quality education because of this freedom and trust in what we were doing.
My condolences to the family and I am so sorry I could not attend Dr. Bryant's funeral to show my respects. Dr. Bryant will always have an important part in my heart for what he did and allowed me to do for Gadsden County students and I will never forget this, or that time. ❤

My continued prayers to the Bryant family for the lost of your father.
When I needed to come back home thirty years ago, I called Mr. Bryant, then superintendent of schools, and explained my situation. He promised me I would have a job with the school district upon my return and I did. I am retired now.
I will never forget his kindness.
