Rachel Wyrick Obituary
Tallahassee - Rachel Broome Wyrick, 76, of Tallahassee, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, while surrounded by her loving family.
A daughter of the late Lonnie Broome and Ruth Mae Humphries Broome, she was born in Dixie County on September 21, 1944. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, John Wade Wyrick; and a sister, Charlotte Hightower.
Survivors include her husband of almost 57 years, Joseph Floyd Wyrick; children, James Wyrick (wife, Michelle), Floyd Wyrick (life partner, Carol Davis) and Bobbie Allen; grandchildren, Mykayla Wyrick, Michael Pinson, Jr., Steven Bivins, Jr., Audrey Wyrick, Henry Davis and Josiah Wyrick; sisters, Bernice Weathers, Mary King and Joyce Lines.
She owned and operated a cleaning service, was a talented artist and loved to paint, enjoyed camping and being outdoors, but most importantly, loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6:00 until 7:30 PM, Friday, April 23, 2021, at Abbey Funeral Home. The funeral is 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Abbey Funeral Home, with interment at Tallahassee Memory Gardens; face masks and social distancing required. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Covenant Care Hospice. The live stream service and online guest book can be found at www.abbeyfh.com.
