I still cherish the memories from The Downtown Y in the early days and then at University Olympic Gym across from Tampa U, and then your guest appearances at American Fitness in Tampa and Brandon. You became my friend and remained so since 1974. A truly brave and memorable man. I continue to boast about you and your lifting prowess. Strong in more ways than most. Rest easy my friend.

Thinking back to the old days in Tampa and the family gatherings on holidays, I will always remember Nick's cheerful greetings. It's clear that he used that cheer - and a lot of courage - and made a good life for himself, despite the obstacles that he faced. My thoughts and sympathy go out to Josie, Vincent, and the rest of Nick's family and friends.

Nick always said to me, "I love you cuz" He said it with such sincerity and Nick, "I love you cuz too"! This world will never be the same without you. What an inspiration you will always be to all of us!!! Even with a grave disability and so many illnesses you were never without a smile on your handsome face!! Nothing ever stopped you from achieving your goals! You will always remain in our hearts. I know you are seated up in heaven with your favorite gator fan, Uncle Joe, having a scotch! Give him a hug from me! I love you, cuz, Kathy

He was such a great person and an inspiration. I enjoyed my years powerlifting with him and the guidance and encouragement he gave to all who knew him.

Nick never let his blindness stand in the way of enjoying his life. I remember him walking with his dog all over Temple Terrace. He was also very funny. My condolences to his family.

I remember Nick walking down the beach when I was a little kid to visit us in Indian Rocks. One day I asked him how he could find us if he was blind and he just smiled and explained to me how he did it. I was always amazed by him and how much he accomplished in his life and always enjoyed talking to him when we would run into each other. He was a good person. I am so sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace, Nick
