HISE, Capt. Howard L.
USMC (Ret.) fought his last battle June 28, 2018. Howard was born November of 1917 in Cayuga, Indiana. He had great difficulty finding work in and around the Clinton area in the mid 1930s, and decided to join the U.S. Marine Corps. Howard was assigned aboard the USS Lexington in San Diego when the call came. The boys put away the basketballs and headed to the Philippines. There they saw action in Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, and later in Korea. Howard was not one for being the center of attention and therefore, no service will be held. To honor Howard, donations to Suncoast Hospice are greatly appreciated. They are truly angels and loved Howard like family. Semper Fi, Marine. Peace at last.
