I will always remember you David, laughing and riding bikes...we were young and our life stretched out before us so our spirits were lite. I hold this image of you in my mind and heart. I am grateful that I met you on this life. I know you cared about CASA-the organization that helps women and children from domestic violence so I will do my part...just because of you. Words can not express how sad I am. David was my oldest friend, I knew him since I was born. Our mothers were best friends. While I am truly heartbroken, as we all are, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and coworkers at this time. I wish I had the right words to express my deep sympathy for the loss of this wonderful man. He will be missed but never forgotten.

We are shocked and saddened by the loss of yet another fine officer. Our condolences to his family and friends. To the family ... What can one say when this happens to another family, and not to yourself? The immense loss, the emptiness, the void in the minds, hearts and souls of the Crawford family ... Memories, photos, horses, kitty's, may fill some, but never all. Above all, family, you have one another, be there when being there is needed. You have to hold on to what you've got. I understand all to fully the pain that Officer Crawfords family is going through. After the loss of my brother Matt Williams and K-9 DiOGi (eow 9-28-06) I only found comfort in knowing how much he did for our community. From all accounts, officer Crawford was also a huge part of the community. Always remember that it isn't his death that made him a hero, it was the life he chose to live. Today, he is walking the streets of gold with so many others who gave their lives so that we could all be safe. A Man Remembered Never Dies!
