74, of Crystal River, Florida, passed Feb. 7, 2019. Bill has turned the page to be with the Lord. Bill was born July 25, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has been a resident of this area for 35 years after moving here from Largo, Florida. He was of the Baptist faith. Bill retired from GTE Telecommunications Company following a 32 year career and then worked as a ranger with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for eight years. Bill was a life-long Football fan and loved the Chicago Bears, he was a star player at Largo High School and excelled in the Semi-Pro League. Bill was one with nature and had a passion for hunting and fishing, he left no lake unturned. Bill loved his family and friends dearly, he is survived by his loving wife, Darlene S. Gerian of Crystal River. As we must unfold his glory, remember Bill in happy times and joy, not in sorrow or don't remember him at all, we've seen our share of broken halo's, they belong to the by and by. Friends are invited to visitation Thursday, Feb. 14 from 5-7 pm in the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Crystal River. Private cremation arrangements will follow under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River.
