VARADIAN, Carl 79, Bradenton, died June 5, 2010. He was born on June 19, 1930 in Racine, WI. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and retired from the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development as a loan manager. He served as the City Manager for Lyons, IL and the Asst. City Manager for Elmhurst, IL. He taught at Lawrence Technical University in Southfield, MI for 22 years. He moved to Bradenton in 2003 after living in Pinellas County for 8 years. He was a member of the St. Hagop Armenian Church in Pinellas Park. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ida, sons, Mark of Olympia, WA, David of Garden City, MI, brother, Jack Vahradian of Mission Viejo, CA, and two grandsons, Sammy & Johnny Varadian of Olympia, WA. Private family committal will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at a date to be announced. Donations may be made to the St. Hagop Armenian Church. Ida, David, Annette and Mark, my deepest condolences for your loss. Dave, I always liked your Dad. The last few occasions where I saw him, I think I spent the majority of the time talking to him. He was a very kind man, I am sure you will all miss him dearly.
