I know it has been 7 years since Don's death, but I just found out. My deepest sympathies for your family. I worked with Don at The Hacienda many years ago. Both my husband and I thought the world of Don. When we moved to Ohio, we spoke with Don a few times on the phone and we met for lunch on a trip back to Florida. But, as life sometimes happens, we lost touch. I thought about him often, though and Rick and I would reminisce about Don and our time at The Hacienda. Don was one of those rare people who come along and leave a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was outgoing, honest, full of faith, funny, passionate about life and loved his family deeply. He was one of the hardest working men I have ever known. I had a deep respect for Don and the person he was. I have missed our friendship over the years, but he left a lasting impression on my heart that will never fade. I hope it brings some measure of comfort knowing Don is at peace in heaven now, waiting with open arms for when he will be reunited with his family and friends.
