SKINNER Ph.D., Jeannine

S. "Jaye" 35, passed away Sept. 1, 2017 in Charlotte, N.C. Jeannine was a product of the Pinellas County educational school system, where she attended Bay Point Elementary school, Bay Point Middle School and was a graduate of the class of 2000 from Lakewood High School. Jeannine obtained her degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida and in 2010 received her Ph.D. in neuropsychology from Howard University, earning her the title "Dr. Skinner". Jeannine served as a research instructor of neurology at Vanderbilt University, worked as an adjunct faculty member in psychology at Belmont University and Fisk University. Dr. Skinner joined the faculty of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2016, where she was an assistant professor of gerontology and psychology. Jeannine leaves to mourn parents, Curtis and Beverly (Bryant) Skinner; a devoted brother, Bryant Skinner; maternal grandmother, Louvenia Bryant and Walter Bryant (deceased); paternal grandparents, Otis and Anna Skinner; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friend.Home going services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2917 at 11:00 am at the 20th Street Church of Christ; 825- 20th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL., 33712. A wake will be held Friday, September 15, from 6:30-8 pm at the church.
