(nee Reynolds) of St. Petersburg, Florida and Montego Bay, Jamaica, passed away December 31, 2018. She graduated from the University of West Indies School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1975 and later as a guidance counselor. Merle worked at Cornwall Regional Hospital for several years and as a guidance counselor at two high schools in Jamaica before migrating to St Petersburg, Florida in 1988. There she worked as an RN for Bayfront Hospital, Suncoast Hospice and CareCentrix. Merle loved gardening, cooking, and singing at every opportunity. She also loved the Lord and is now at peace in His kingdom. She was a ray of sunshine in the lives of many and will always be remembered for her bright smile, positivity, and unshakable faith in God. Merle leaves behind daughter, Gabrielle; son, Damion; husband, Tyrone; sisters, Rosemarie, Yvonne, Grace; brothers, Everett, Paul, Sherlock, Dudley; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Please join the family for a celebration of Merle's beautiful life, January 19, 2 pm at Pinellas Community Church, 5501 31st St. S., St. Petersburg, FL 33712. We ask that attendees wear colors in lieu of black, please.
