Sam Lancaster RENNEKER

RENNEKER, Sam Lancaster of New Port Richey, FL, born April 5, 1943 left this world for his next adventure on April 5, 2013, his 70th birthday. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, he was predeacesed by parents, Sam & Dorothy, and brother Johnny. He left behind his loving wife of 10 years the former Denise Freibert and his beloved dog, Zorro. Survived by his sister, Dorothy Lofton; nephew, Tyler Lofton of Birmingham; niece, Ashley Lofton of Australia; 2 daughters, Marion Fennell (Christopher) of Birmingham and Samantha Renneker of Richmond VA. Sam attended the University of the South in Swanee, TN, before transferring to The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where he received his degree. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Sam served as a Captain in the U.S.A.F. during the Vietnam War stationed in England. He was an avid aviator owning 2 planes, his twin engine Baron and a 1943 Piper Cub. He had an IFR rating and was at his happiest when in the air. Sam was a long time member of The Country Club of Birmingham, and owner of Lancaster Equipment Co. Inc., a family owned business started in 1922 by his maternal and much loved grandfather, Clyde Lancaster. There will be a private celebration of life to be determined at a later date.
