55, of Largo, Florida, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019. She was born in Groton, CT and moved to this area in 1989 from Danville, Illinois. Teresa was a registered nurse and a member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg. Teresa was an avid scrapbooker and enjoyed taking walks in the park with family and friends. Teresa endured a 23 year battle against breast cancer. She was a strong willed woman who displayed incredible strength, courage, and determination in fighting this disease over the years. She had a wonderful personality and deeply cared for her friends....always asking about them and their families despite the struggles she was going through. The nursing profession Teresa chose as a career was a perfect fit for her as she always strived to provide the best care to her patients. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack McDonald. Teresa is survived by her husband of 31 years, Rob; her son, Jeremy; her brother, Tom McDonald (Alyssa); and mother, Martha McDonald. Other survivors include her father and mother-in-law, John and Bobbee Nimrick; brother-in-law, John Nimrick Jr. (Jan); several nieces and nephews; and close friends, Judy Chapman, Lynn Collins, and Marilyn Olivio. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation (www.foundation.flcancer.com). Friends and family will gather at 3 pm Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at the Mohn Funeral Home. A service will follow at 4 pm. See the Guestbook at:
