William "Bill" STICKLEY Jr. Obituary
84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2018 surrounded by his family at Westminster Suncoast, St. Petersburg, FL. He was the devoted husband of Mary Ellyn Stickley and they shared 64 years of marriage together. Born in Whitehall, Illinois, he was the son of William Sr. and Pearl Stickley. He graduated from Northwestern University, Chicago Illinois, and received his Ph.D. from University of Washington in Seattle. He was the Director of the Health Sciences Communication Department at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine Cleveland, Ohio. Later, Bill and his family moved to Massachusetts where he became Director for the Education Resource Center at U-Mass Medical Center, Worcester, MA. Bill was an active member of the Academy for Senior Professionals at Eckerd College (ASPEC). Photography was one of Bill's passions in life and he was rarely seen without his camera, especially at Westminster Shores or at Eckerd College. In addition, he was a board member of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellyn; and their three sons, William T. Stickley III of Cleveland, OH, John O. and his wife, Geraldine Stickley of Buzzards Bay, MA, R. Bruce and his wife, Kathleen Stickley of Wethersfield, CT. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Sage and Willie Stickley of Cleveland, OH, Jonathan Stickley of Amesbury, MA, Liam, Maura, and Rory Stickley of Wethersfield, CT.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 16 at 3:00 p.m. at the Westminster Shores Chapel, 125 56th Avenue South, St. Petersburg, FL, with reception to follow at the Westminster Shores Gallery Room. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the . www.andersonmcqueen.com
