Dear Linda,
Just read about Rob in the Star Ledger. I taught with him(my first permanent teaching job) at Grove St School. We became immediate friends as I was also certified for "Teacher of the Handicapped." Soon after, I was transferred but a couple of years later I contacted Rob as I was then teaching E.D. students with secondary classifications at another school in Irvington where the principal was totally against Special Education. Rob guided me with info and contacts so I was able to attend camp with a number of my students when my principal never even mentioned the camp opportunity. We won the talent show! At that time, from what I recall, Rob said he was getting married and moving to Pennsylvania? Am so sorry for your loss but I'm sure you have great memories Fondly, Alysa

Dearest Linda, Dane, and Drew,

My heart sank to new depths when I read the news of Bob's passing. I knew Bob in CHS and sadly not very well, I nevertheless thought very highly of him. And though many years have come and gone since those days in high school, the memories of the honesty, integrity, and dignity that added up to Bobby Giordano will echo forever.

With Prayers for Peace,

Bob Lee

I got to know Rob very well from my time serving on the board at the Morean. He was an immensely talented artist, as well as being a creative and patient instructor. He was a kind and gentle man who practiced humility every day. To say that he was instrumental in bringing the Chihuly Collection to St. Petersburg is an understatement (as Rob would like it!). I remember traveling to Seattle with Rob, Beth Morean, Evelyn Craft, Mayor Baker and a handful of others to meet with Dale for a couple days and execute the agreement. Rob was fully engaged with Dale on the details of the installation and the education component. I am confident that Rob's steady hand and understated presence with Dale helped seal the deal for St. Petersburg. Out city owes Rob a debt of gratitude. He will be missed my many.
