REYNOLDS, Christine

68, of Tampa, entered into the presence of her Lord on May 20, 2016. She was born in Spokane, WA, to Bailey and Louise Reynolds. Christine was awarded 5 DFC's during her service in Vietnam and served 11 years in the US Air Force as a F4 pilot and instructor. She was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. During her service she completed, Pilot Training, Instructor Pilot, Navigator, and Squadron Officers School. As a civilian she received her Airline Transport Pilot Rating. She was a charter member of the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots "River Rats" association.

She received an MBA from the University of South Florida, successfully entering the business world. In 1998 she pursued her life's passion to become a professional photographer. Her education and experience led to her being extensively published, receiving many awards and the opportunity to teach photography with PPA and North Tampa Photography. She earned the PPA Master of Photography degree, Florida Degree of Photographic Excellence with two 25+ bars as well as the Florida Master Photographer FED. Among her many PPA/FPP awards and honors during her 20 years as a photographer was the Professional Photographers of America National Award for Meritorious Service to Professional Photography in August 2014, PPA Master Photographer, PPA Photographic Craftsman, PPA Certified Professional Photographer, Florida Service Award FSA, PPA Photographer of the Year 2006, PPA National Award. Professional Photographers of America in 2010: Seven Loan collection prints. In 2011, she received Seven awards including; Top Ten Photographer in Florida, First place Commercial Industrial and Distinguished award in Commercial Advertising. Eight First Place awards in Annual Competition in the last ten years. Featured Speaker and Judge at the Annual Convention. She served as a member of the board for the local Tampa Association of Professional Photographers (TAPPA).

She was an avid sporting clays competitor, introducing many of her friends to the sport.

Christine loved life, loved to laugh and tell stories. She loved her family and friends, who also loved and adored her. She is already greatly missed. She is survived by her wife of 18 years, Cheri Gattshall, Christine was the love of her life. She is also survived by her loving mother Louise Reynolds; brother, Dean Reynolds; and sister-in-law, Ruth Reynolds. Visitation will be held June 9, from 6-8 pm, followed by a celebration of life service at 8 pm. Both events will be held at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. She will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery. The family is requesting donations be sent to either of the following charities in lieu of flowers to honor our veterans: The Red River Valley Fighter Pilots at supports scholarships for member's children.
