Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of David W. Thomas US Army Sergeant. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

No words can discribe a person so unselfish he/she will leave their family to put themselves in front of danger to protect a way of life and people who he/she does not know. They are our American heros. The pain and sorrow will never go away, only placed just far enough in back of our minds to allow us to go about our daily lives. To a fellow soldier I salute and thank you for your service. Thomas has joined a new cadre, now safe from harms way and in the light of our Lord.

To the Thomas Family, may God comfort you in this time of need.
Spc Thomas, once again my chest hurts and my eyes water as I say farewell to another fallen D Co. brother. I know that we will meet again and I look forward to that day. I will always remember playing football for pt, when we knew that the younger guys wouldn't be able to keep up with us old guys. I will also remember the tone of your voice when you would call me " sarge " sounded like I was in the Marine Corps. I have the Blessing to know that I'am surrounded by the finest Brothers so hold it down for me up in Heaven as we hold it down here in Afghan... and know that you David will not be forgotten in my household. God Bless your family and may you Rest In Peace!

As we prepare to celebrate the Independence of our great country, let it not be lost in the celebrations the ultimate sacrifice Army SPC. David W. Thomas gave to us in serving the US so passionately. Not only an Army soldier, but a Navy and Marine veteran as well. A veritable "triple crown" in dedicated service to the country David loved. David was a true American hero who served, fought and died to protect our country and freedom. My sincerest condolences to the extended Thomas family, and may God Bless David with peace hereafter. May this candle burn brightly in honor of David - today and always. Semper Fi.
