PAT MCDONALD Mrs. Mary Patricia Morrison McDonald, 76, of Blowing Rock, NC, and Vero Beach, Fla., passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at her home in Blowing Rock. She was born in Statesville, NC on April 25, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Dr. James Rudy Morrison and Agnes Nolan Morrison. She graduated from Stratford Hall in Danville, VA and attended the University of Georgia. Pat was an artist and on January 15, 1965 was married to Richard Joseph McDonald, who survives. In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by two sisters, Barbara M. Carle (Eric), of Tavernier, Fla., and Rita M. Wiseman, of Blowing Rock, NC. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Charles E. McDonald (Shirley), of Minneapolis, Minnesota, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside burial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville, NC. A gathering of friends will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Nicholson Funeral Home, 135 East Front Street, Statesville, NC 28677.
