CHARLES "SCOTT" YESCOTT Charles "Scott" Yescott ran into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday (April 2, 2013). He was surrounded by his loving family and was listening to his favorite song "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. Charlie was born on September 24, 1940. He was one of two sons of the late Emil and Josephine (Siena) Yescott of Middletown. Charlie lived in Farmington for the last forty-six years, as well as Vero Beach, Florida with the love of his life Rosalie. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, worked for Sears and Roebuck for several years before starting his thirty-five year career with the Allstate Insurance Company. Charlie was an avid outdoorsmen and particularly enjoyed running in road races every Saturday, where he acquired many trophies and more importantly made many wonderful friends. He especially loved time at the beach with his family whether in Florida or Rhode Island; he loved fishing, clamming, and swimming with his granddaughters. Charlie was a member of Valley Community Baptist Church in Avon, for over thirty years where he got to know Jesus and fell in love with Him. He shared his love for Jesus with everyone he met. Charlie was a well- rounded beautiful man who everyone loved and respected. Charlie is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Rosalie (Gordon) Yescott; and sons Edward and wife Julie of CT; Steven and wife Carey of ME, and David of Farmington. He has six beautiful granddaughters, Kiley, Keeton, Hadlee, Sophia, Chloe and Alexa whom he adored. Besides his parents, Charles was predeceased by his brother Richard of CA, and his beloved cousin, Howard Kilpatrick. A graveside service will be held at 12 PM Friday, April 5 at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill, followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM at Valley Community Baptist Church, 590 West Avon Rd, Avon. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Carmon Avon Funeral Home & Family Center, 310 Country Club Rd Avon. For online condolences please visit Paid Obituary
