Donat R. Parent, 84, died June 2, 2011, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. He was born in Lowell, Mass., lived in Indiantown since 1987 and was formerly of Nashua, N.H. He worked in the railroad industry and was employed by the Boston and Maine Railroad for 45 years. He was a union union representative for the Boilermakers Union in Boston. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the constabulary after the war in Europe. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Elks Lodge in Chelmsford, Mass. He was of Catholic faith and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Doris Parent of Indiantown; daughter, Gail Brown of Indiantown; son, Alan Parent of Derry, N.H.; brother, Alphee Parent of Chester, Vt.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger, Arthur, Lucien and Robert. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. Services: A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. June 7 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Indiantown. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Stuart. A guestbook is available at aycockfuneralhome.com.
