Frederick Herbert Felton


Frederick Herbert Felton, 83, died Feb. 11, 2013, at his home. He was born in Akron, Ohio, and lived in Stuart for 28 years, coming from Rome, Ohio. He was a schoolteacher and taught for both Cleveland Heights and University Heights in Cleveland. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps and served as a staff sergeant in the Korean War. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Stuart and the director of the church's soup kitchen. He was the past president and member of North River Shores Association and member of the Coconut Point Yacht Club and was a chaplain of the Marine Corps League in Stuart. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Mary of Stuart; son, Robert Harger of Solon, Ohio; daughters, Kathleen Pruncell of Bradenton and Debra Harger of DeBary; brother, Charles Felton of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and seven grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran's Soup Kitchen, 2450 S.E. Ocean Blvd., Stuart, FL 34996. Services: Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 17 at Aycock Funeral Home, Stuart.
