Ivy Simpson, 80, died March 22, 2011, at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie. She was born in Jamaica and lived in Port St. Lucie for six years, coming from Fort Lauderdale. Before retirement, she was a certified nurse's assistant for Private Agencies in New York, Florida and California for 20 years. She was a member of the Word of Faith Grace Ministries in Port St. Lucie. Survivors include her daughters, Joan Holmes of Canada, Millicent Drummond of Riverview, Lilieth Drummond of Gibsonton and Carmeta Wilson of Port St. Lucie; son, Trevor Drummond of Jamaica; brother, Vincent Whyte of Palatka; sisters, Essey Robinson of California, and Adina Whyte, Anita Lawrence, Gwendolyn Whyte and Jenny Whyte, all of Jamaica; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Simpson, in 1992; and three brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to Word of Faith and Grace Ministries, 1510 S.E. Village Green Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952. Services: Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. April 1 at the Aycock Funeral Home chapel in Port St. Lucie. A service will be at 3 p.m. April 2 at the New Testament Faith Center in Port St. Lucie, followed by burial at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie.
