Shirley Ruth Lull Shirley Ruth Lull, age 75, passed away on January 16, 2006, after a long, determined and inspirational battle with Breast Cancer, at home in Vero Beach Florida. She was born on September 23, 1930 in Troy New York to John and Elizabeth McKee. Shirley graduated from Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady in 1948, and Mildred Elley Business School in Latham in 1950. Shirley's professional career included: Typist; Bank Teller; and 10 years in administration with the Pascack Valley School District (NJ), before retiring to Vero Beach Florida in the early 1990's. A devoted mother and wife, Shirley moved 16 times since getting married, which allowed her to make friends in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Florida. Shirley was an avid reader, and dedicated many of her retirement years to researching the lineage of both the McKee and the Lull families, tracing the Lull family to the mid 17th century. Shirley is survived by her sons, Richard and wife Heidi of California, Daniel and wife Peggy of New Jersey, Kevin and wife Susan of Pennsylvania, Timothy and wife Mary of New Jersey, and Edward and wife Cathleen of New Jersey; Grandchildren, Meghan, Samantha, Reagan, Hunter and Harrison; Brother Don McKee; and numerous brotherin-laws, sisterin-laws, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends across the country. Shirley is preceded in death by her sister Jean McKee Edgington. Shirley loved to have friends and family visit in Florida, and was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. As quoted in her high school year book in 1948, she was "definitely different and definitely delightful." Her family and friends would agree, and might add 'devotedly determined' and 'thoroughly thoughtful' to describe this wonderful person who will be dearly missed.
