Kathleen Thomas Obituary
WORCESTER - Kathleen A. (Deignan) Thomas, age 57, of Worcester, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 8, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital.
Her mother, Elizabeth A. (Shea) Deignan, died February 21.
She leaves her father, James B. Deignan of Worcester; two daughters, Bethany Bousquet and her husband Rick, and Danielle Thomas, all of Millbury; five grandchildren, Abagale Flynn, Nicole Bousquet, Lillian Bousquet, Avery Oquendo and Isabelle Thomas; a sister Karen M. Blackney and her husband Bryan of Westborough; and two nephews, Ryan and Kevin Blackney.
Kathleen was born in Worcester and lived in Worcester all her life. She attended South High School and Quinsigamond Community College.
Kathleen was a professional housekeeper. She recently celebrated eight years working with Melticulous Cleaning Services of Spencer. Previously, she had worked at the Baymont Hotel and later the La Quinta Hotel in Auburn.
Kathy enjoyed all things about nature and the great outdoors. She enjoyed long walks and regular visits to the beach. She adored her grandchildren.
Calling hours are Monday, March 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. Funeral services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515.

I AM SO SURPRISED AND SADDEND BY KAT'S PASSING. YOU ALL HAVE MY PRAYERS AND AS FOR KAT, I HOPE SHE IS ENJOYING THE VIEW. SHE ALWAYS SEEMED TO FIND BEAUTY EVERYWHERE.
I WILL HOLD ONTO MY MEMORIES OF HER IN MAINE ON OUR GIRLS WEEKEND TRIPS AND OTHER TRIPS. IT HASN'T BEEN THE SAME WITHOUT HER AND NOW I HAVE AWESOME MEMORIES. KAT HAD A WONDERFUL SPIRIT.

Kat was an incredibly warm, kind presence when she would come into our home. She always connected with and looked after our aging kitty Dodger, who would get super excited on days she came. Our kids loved seeing her and feeling her kind energy. We are incredibly sad to hear that we have all lost her already, too soon. She was always so beautiful and vital. We are sending love and support to her family and loved ones.
