Olga Caiazzi, 93

Clinton - Olga M. Caiazzi, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 surrounded by loved ones at the Corcoran House. She is survived by her siblings, Valia Jaaskela of Fitchburg; Margaret Burgoyne of Lancaster; Dario Caiazzi of Sterling; James Caiazzi & wife Rachael of Orleans; her caretaker and niece Patricia Schumacher of Lancaster; sister-in-law Adrienne Caiazzi of CA; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is pre-deceased by two brothers, Dino and Mario Caiazzi.

Olga was born in Clinton to Italian immigrants Egidio & Angelina (Panecaldo) Caiazzi. She graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 1942, Becker Junior College, and the New England School of Accounting. Olga enjoyed her career as a bookkeeper and accountant for several companies, including Colorado Fuel & Iron, Wickwire Spencer, Norton Company, and Digital Equipment Company, from where she ultimately retired. Olga was a woman of great faith and devout member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish in Clinton. She was active with the Clinton Senior Center was always an advocate for women's rights. She enjoyed the hobbies of sewing, knitting, and tending to her flourishing garden. Olga always remained positive and shared laughter with those around her. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 8:30-9:30am in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Olga Caiazzi to either: St. John the Evangelist Church-Restoration Fund, c/o 149 Chestnut St., Clinton, MA 01510 or to the Corcoran House-Activities Fund, 40 Walnut St., Clinton, MA 01510.
