Cleopatra Chiamis, 96

Clinton - Cleopatra Chiamis, 96, formerly of Clinton, passed away on June 11, 2018 at Cape Regency Nursing & Rehabilitation, Centerville, where she received wonderful care from their staff for the past 6 years.

She leaves several nieces and nephews: Alexis Julsonnet, of Marstons Mills, Poppy Regonini, Toni Nugent, Tracy Winn, Nancy Erickson, and Andy Julsonnet, all of Clinton, Paul Chiamis of TN, and Snow Waters-Jones of NC; and many grand and great-grandnieces and nephews. Four sisters, Stephanie Julsonnet, Georgia Downs, Evelyn Chiamis, and Yodie "Mary" Gardner, her brother, Daniel Chiamis, and two nephews, George Julsonnet, and John Downs, predeceased her.

Cleo was born and raised in Clinton, the daughter of Andrew and Kaliope Chiamis, and was the Clinton MA New Year's baby of 1922! She was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, and a former member of the Daughters of Penelope. She was a graduate of Clinton High School.

For many years until retirement, Cleo worked at the former Colonial Press, Clinton, and Acorn Graphics, West Boylston. In her later years, she enjoyed living on the coasts of Maine and Cape Cod, with her niece, Alexis. Their home became the gathering place for many memorable family events. Cleo enjoyed visits to Craigville Beach, reading, dancing, and politics, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Above all, she loved her family, and was devoted to her siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Cleo's funeral will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, with a service at 11:30 a.m. in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 132 School St., Clinton.
