David S. Dumas, 65

Leominster - David S. Dumas, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after being stricken ill. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Marilyn (Hanney) Dumas; their children, Kevin M. Dumas and Christine Dumas, both of Clinton; and his grandson and best friend, Kyle M. Dumas. He leaves his siblings, Raymond Dumas of FL; and Barbara Standley of WA; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He is pre-deceased by siblings Robert Dumas, Wayne Dumas, Shirley Irvin, and Dottie Swindel.

Dave was born in Gardner to the late Joseph & Elna (Charlton) Dumas. In addition to graduating from Clinton High School and Fisher Junior College, David achieved numerous professional certifications including ASQ, CMI, and CQT. Dave began his career as a furniture maker for the former Buck Chair in Clinton before working for Johnson & Johnson, from where he ultimately retired as a Quality Control Supervisor. With his life's passion for music, Dave wrote many songs and compositions, he played guitar in several bands, and taught countless music students through personal and virtual lessons on his YouTube page. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be forever loved and sorely missed by his family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11AM on Friday, June 15, 2018 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with burial to follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster.
