Dominic Joseph Casamasina, 96

North Andover - Dominic passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 10th, 2018. His wife Doris (Silver) Casamasina predeceased him in 2010. Dominic leaves behind two sons, Donald and Dennis Casamasina of North Andover and a grandson David Kelly of North Andover. He also leaves behind two Brothers Vincent Casamassima and his wife Joan of Northborough, his brother Anthony (Tony) Casamassima of West Boylston, a sister Dothery Metz of Northborough. His brother Albert Casamassima and his wife Eva of West Boylston predeceased him.

Dominic was born in Bari Italy, the Son of Vincent and Caterina Casamassima and came to America in 1931. He was a resident of Worcester for many years before moving to North Andover. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and continued his service in the Army Reserves for 25 years. After the war Dominic learned the trade of cosmetology, owning his own salon and later becoming an instructor in Boston, Worcester and Marlborough. His students and colleagues affectionately knew him as Mr. C. Dominic also had a love of gardening and was an avid horticulturist, maintaining his gardens well into his 90's. He will be very much missed by his family, including many nephews and nieces with whom He was very close. A private Mass will be held at a later date to honor his memory.
