Ethel Coskie, 89

FRAMINGHAM/CLINTON - Ethel (Pappas) Coskie, 89, died Friday, January 11, 2019, in Framingham Union Hospital, after a brief illness.

She leaves three children: John Coskie, Jr., and his wife, Nancy, of Vineyard Haven, Sharon Bousquet and her husband, David, of Marlborough, and Steven Coskie and his wife, Dixie, of Upton; eight grandchildren: Amanda, Brianna, Paul, Caroline, Anna-Theresa, Kevin, Monica, and Jack; two great-grandchildren: Owen and Alanna; several nieces, nephews, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, John W. Coskie, Sr., who died in 2008; two brothers, Peter and Gregory Pappas, and a sister, Ann Steffanides.

Ethel was born and raised in Clinton, daughter of George and Effie (Drakopolos) Pappas. She had been a resident of Framingham since 1956.

In addition to being a wife and mother, Ethel, along with her late husband, owned and operated Lampman's Drugstore in Medway for many years.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Clinton, and the "JFF Club," comprised of her nearest and dearest life-long friends. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ethel's funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, with a service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 132 School St., Clinton. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour at the funeral home on Tuesday morning, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., before proceeding to the church. For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, or to of Massachusetts, One Bulfinch Place, 2nd Fl., Boston, MA 02114.
