Harry John Simpson Jr.

Beckley, WV - Harry John Simpson, Jr., age 82, of Beckley, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Charleston Area Medical Center, General Division.

Born on August 8, 1935, in Clinton, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Harry Simpson and Margaret Nicholson Simpson.

Mr. Simpson was a former employee of City of Worchester, Massachusetts Street Department with 20 years of service. In Beckley, WV, he was a former employee of Sams Club and Food Lion. He was a US Army Veteran and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy, Ernie and Tommy, and by two sisters, Mary and Kay.

Those survivors left to cherish is memory include his wife of 30 years, Annie Marjorie Morgan Simpson; two stepchildren, C. E. Bays and wife, Kathy, of Beckley and Mary Ann Morrison of Beckley; three step grandchildren, David Bays and wife, Stacy, Ashlee Belcher and husband, Joe, and Amanda DelMoro and husband, Pete, of Beckley; three great grandchildren, favorite niece, Kim, and favorite nephews, Dwayne and David Duzak; a sister, Alice Degnan of Worcester, Massachusetts also survives.

Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 11 AM with Rev. John Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 9 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be C. E. Bays, Robert Bays, Pete DelMoro, Joe Belcher, David Bays and Donnie Farley.
