Joseph Duval Obituary
Joseph A. Duval, 29

Barre - Joseph A. Duval, 29, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 11, 2018. Joe was a graduate of Quabbin Regional High School, class of 2006.

After graduating high school, Joe went to work in the construction field for RH Gallo Builders in Holden and RH White Construction in Auburn while working in his family's business, RJ Duval Plumbing and Heating Co. in Barre. Joe had a zest for life and enjoyed most outdoor activities including fishing, rock climbing on Cadillac Mountain and backyard barbecues. He was trained in mixed martial arts and weight lifting. Joe was a car enthusiast from fast cars to four wheelers. His family remembers fondly their fun-filled vacations spent at Moody Beach and Bar Harbor, Maine with their beloved Joe.

Joe is remembered as a loving and caring soul who rarely met a stranger that didn't soon become a friend. He had a contagious smile that would captivate his audience while telling a joke or short story. Joe was a joy to be around and will be lovingly missed by those that were blessed to have known him.

His loving memory will live on in the hearts of his family including his mother, Lisa (Gunnarson) Besaw and her husband, Garry of Barre; his father, Robert A. Duval and his girlfriend, Lori Snyder of Barre; maternal grandparents, Russell "Skip" and Marie (DeMarco) Gunnarson of Barre; three sisters, Amber Duval and her fiance, Jeremy Nowicki of North Brookfield, Sheena Fargnoli and her husband, Todd of Hardwick and Misty Thorpe and her husband, Sean of Barre; a step sister, Alyssa Holmes of Barre; three step brothers, Josh Stone, Jake Rojcewicz and David Rojcewicz all of Barre; aunts and uncles including his Godparents, Uncle Jerry and Aunt Linda Downing of Gardner; nephews and nieces, Lane, Isla, Hazel, Kenzie, Jorja, Brody and Austin; and his longtime friend, Taryn Stuart of Charlotte, North Carolina. Joe was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Robert J. and Angelina (Femino) Duval of Barre.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joe's family from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday, May 20, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
